As a licensed psychologist, I have the qualifications to best help my clients with ADHD. My background and training is particularly important because the majority of people with ADHD also have a related condition such as anxiety, depression, or a learning disorder. In addition, I am able to pull from a wide variety of strategies and techniques in order to individualize the counseling & coaching process. Furthermore, I understand that ADHD is not just about time management, organization, and other executive functioning skills. It affects all areas of a person's life including their relationships, school and vocation decisions, health behaviors, and emotional well being.

Brief Bio and Qualifications

I am a licensed psychologist (TN and NY), an ADHD - Certified Clinical Services Provider (CCSP), and a professional member of CHADD practicing in the greater Nashville area. I graduated with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Utah in 1997. Prior to starting my private practice  in comprehensive management of ADHD , I worked as a psychologist in university mental health for several years. First at the University Counseling Center at the University of Utah and then at Counseling and Mental Health Services at the University of Rochester. Most recently I worked at the Diagnostic Center at Currey Ingram Academy where I provided psychoeducational evaluations for students with suspected ADHD and/or learning disorders. My scientific research in clinical and educational psychology has been cited over 1500 times.

Equally important to my credentials, I am a mother of young adult with executive functioning deficits. You can trust that I understand the stress, frustration, and worry that you are experiencing.
